Signature Building Systems Receives Excellence in Home Design Award
“This year’s award winners like Signature Building Systems prove that even in a slow housing market, the systems-built industry is raising the bar in residential marketing and home design concepts,” said BSC Chairman Michael H. Weber with Lancaster Redevelopment Corp. “Our award winners are adding credibility to their businesses and shedding a positive light on the building systems industry as a whole.”
The annual BSC Excellence Awards are judged by a panel of industry experts and companies like Signature Building Systems were given praise for the quality of their submittals.
“It is truly an honor to receive the BSC Excellence Award for Modular Home 2301-4000 square feet,” said Vic DePhillips, President and CEO “At Signature Building Systems, we strive to provide innovative, practical housing solutions using systems-built technologies. This award shows the hard work and vision of Signature Building Systems dedicated employees. It is a proud day for me and for Signature Building Systems.”
Award winners were recognized for excellence in achievement in several marketing and design categories and covered a range of concrete, log, modular and panelized homes.
There were scores of entries submitted for award categories ranging from Outstanding Model/Sales Center, to Presentation of Home Plans and Best Web site.
Award winners were announced to a crowd of nearly 300 systems-built industry professionals at the awards luncheon. Winners received plaques to commemorate their efforts. They will be featured in upcoming editions of NAHB’s e-newspaper, Nation’s Building News. Some projects will also be on display on the BSC Awards Wall at the 2010 International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas.`
30 Under Forty – Justin DePhillips
The Systems Built Industry 30 Under Forty is an annual awards program sponsored by American Home Bank, NAHB’s Building Systems Councils, Building Systems Magazine, and Signature Building Systems of PA, LLC. The 30 Under Forty program is designed to recognize and support fresh and emerging talent in the Systems Built Industry. This program celebrates the next generation of active and talented Systems Built leaders, bringing a wider recognition to 30 of the most promising individuals in the industry. These exceptional professionals will be the supreme influence on the future of the housing market. They will be the forefront of the housing business of tomorrow.
This year Justin DePhillips, an Account Executive with Signature Building Systems, received the prestigious recognition of being named one of the top 30 Under Forty persons in the Systems Built Housing Industry. Justin began his tenure with Signature on a part time basis while attending college. He graduated from Hofstra University’s Frank G. Zarb School of Business with a B.B.A. Management.
Over the course of his employment with Signature he has been a member of several departments including production, marketing, sales, and order processing. His willingness to be versatile has given him an inclusive understanding of the business as well as a comprehensive view of the industry as a whole. Currently, Justin’s main focus is on his role of Account Executive; however, he still continues to play a vital role in marketing, strategizing and long range planning. Ultimately, his goal is to assume the reigns as President of Signature Building Systems.
