Kevin started his career in the modular industry in July, 1987. He started with Signature Building Systems in April, 1994 as a production employee where he and 5 others framed the company’s very first floor. Throughout his modular career, he wore many different hats, such as Group Leader of the Electrical Department, Assistant Purchasing Manager, Service and Logistics Manager and Purchasing Manager. In 2010, Kevin accepted the new positon of Order Processing Manager where his duties include monitoring and managing information between sales, engineering, and the Builder and reviewing and editing orders so that the content meets the current set of plans and the builders’ expectations, needs, and requests. Kevin also assists the sales team as an informational hub and an additional liaison for builder communications.


How did you get involved in the modular home industry?

 I applied for a position right out of high school. I had 4 family members already working at the facility and they helped me secure a position.


What inspired you to work for Signature Building Systems?

The people involved. I had worked with the managers at another facility prior to Signature and it was an opportunity to grow along with the company from the very beginning.


What accomplishments have you made while at Signature?

I have matured over the years from production employee to office manager. All my confidence, skills and abilities have been fine-tuned and allowed to grow throughout my tenure. Honing my knowledge of construction, mechanicals, design, and problem solving.


What do you find most interesting about Signature Building Systems?

Adaptability. No matter what the economic and competitive world has thrown at Signature we have always been able to adapt, and persevere.


What part/ parts of Signature should be shown more to customers?

What we do! The modern person now recognizes what a modular is, but they do not realize what Signature can do with their modular.


After a factory tour, what are the most important messages you hope visitors remember?

Customization ability, knowledge, confidence and security in knowing we can deliver their dream.


Why should customers choose Signature Building Systems over a competitor?

Flexibility, custom ability, manufacturing capability, deliverability, exceeding levels of expectation, and adapting to what our customer wants as much as telling them what we can do.


What improvements has Signature made since you started working here?

Technological advances allowing faster output of plans and quotes. Offerings in the design and application of materials, meeting energy and green standards. Overall quality and care of what we produce.


If you can describe this company in one word, what would it be and why?

 Adaptable.  There are so many things readily accessible and researchable for the informational age consumer through the internet for the new generation of home builders and we find a way to adapt to anything.
